Is CanaryWP a staging host?
CanaryWP currently provides CanaryWP testing environments. They behave like isolated test copies, not production hosting or a full multi-environment staging hierarchy.
Does deleting an instance delete the source site?
No. Deleting an instance removes the CanaryWP testing environment and its instance-owned resources. It should not delete the source WordPress site.
What happens to import files?
Temporary import uploads can be deleted after processing. Permanent demo files under files/demo must remain in R2 so Try demo keeps working.
Can CanaryWP read .wpress files?
Yes, .wpress archives can be used for imports when the restore pipeline supports the archive contents. Recommendation and analysis workflows can inspect .wpress metadata where enabled.
What is the upload limit?
The import upload limit is 700 MB. Larger sites should be optimized, split, or imported through a direct storage workflow.
Does volume size affect performance?
Volume size mainly affects available storage. Performance is usually more affected by CPU, memory, disk I/O, database size, plugin load, cache behavior, and traffic shape.
Can I use help.canarywp.com?
Yes. The help center is served by the same Vercel project through host rewrites. The root maps to /help and each path maps to /help/<page>.
