How CanaryWP handles account data, workspace data, imported archives, logs, and diagnostics.

Last updated August 3, 2026

Data we process

  • Account details such as name, email, avatar, authentication identifiers, and workspace membership.
  • Workspace data such as teams, roles, plans, credits, tags, settings, activity, and notifications.
  • Instance data such as URLs, plans, regions, logs, metrics, backups, runtime details, database operations, media metadata, and WordPress inventory.
  • Imported archives, screenshots, test artifacts, scheduler artifacts, source profiles, and diagnostic output needed to provide the service.

How we use data

  • Authenticate users and enforce workspace permissions.
  • Create, import, test, monitor, and manage WordPress instances.
  • Provide billing, credits, support, audit history, notifications, and reliability features.
  • Diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and improve product quality.

Retention

Temporary import files can be removed after processing. Instance-owned resources can be removed when an instance is deleted. Account, billing, audit, support, and security records may have separate retention needs.

Your controls

Workspace owners and admins can manage members, roles, instances, and many stored resources. Account or workspace deletion requests should go through the account owner or CanaryWP support.
